Wedding trends evolve, but tradition holds strong

Wedding trends are always changing. Modern brides are shirking tradition in many ways: serving pudding or cupcakes instead of cake, wearing dresses that are far from white, and saving the honeymoon for months or years later. Even grooms are jumping on the bandwagon, by staging elaborate choreographed dances to impress their wives-to-be.

Yet, one thing about weddings has not changed.

Brides and grooms still want to be separated before the wedding. Getting ready with all of your bridesmaids, or relaxing with the guys, beforehand is still an essential part of the wedding day process. Whether the big reveal happens at the pre-wedding photo shoot or at the altar, the hours leading up to this moment are precious.

Weddings at Formosa Winery

Why are we thinking about wedding trends? Because we are already booking weddings at the winery for 2017 and beyond. Brides and grooms will be a regular sight around here!

Two of the most important spaces in our as-yet-incomplete building are the bride and groom suites. We are agonizing over the details that will make these rooms perfect for modern couples.
